- When buying your tiles ensure the batch numbers match on the boxes.
- Always allow for 10% extra to cater for cuts and breakages.
- Rectangular and irregular tiles will require 10% - 15% extra.
- Check with the retailer whether you can return unused boxes.
- Avoid choosing the latest trend of large rectangular tiles for the kitchen.
- In a bathroom and other open areas of wall large format tiles will help create the feeling of space.
- Think carefully about shades and colours, a light tile will brighten a dark room.
